What it does

The kit

  • 01

    A passport for any theme

Build a pass around a trail, a season or a neighbourhood: pick the places, set the dates and give each place its points.

  • 02

Check in by location or QR code

Visitors check in when they are near a place, or by scanning the QR code at the door. You set how close counts.

  • 03

    Rewards and sweepstakes

Visitors redeem points or check-ins for rewards, or enter a sweepstakes. Set limits and see what the rewards cost you.

  • 04

    Redeemed at the counter

Staff scan the visitor’s code to hand over a reward, and the same code cannot be used twice.

  • 05

    Sponsors and bonus days

Show a sponsor’s logo on the whole pass or on one reward, and give bonus points on chosen days.

  • 06

    In your style

Your colours, fonts, map style, welcome screen and logo, with a live preview as you edit.

  • 07

    Works on patchy signal

The app installs on the phone, and check-ins made without signal are sent when the phone reconnects.

  • 08

    Know who took part

See who registered, where and when they checked in, and who agreed to hear from you.

Questions

TeraNotes, answered.

What is TeraNotes?

TeraNotes is the digital passport of the Tera ecosystem. Visitors register, check in at the places on a pass, collect points and redeem rewards at local businesses.

How do visitors check in?

By being near the place, by scanning a QR code at the place, or freely, depending on how you set up the pass. You can also allow repeat check-ins once a day or once a week.

How are rewards handed out?

Visitors show a code on their phone, and staff scan it or type it in to confirm the reward. A code can only be used once.

Do visitors need to download an app?

No. TeraNotes opens in the phone’s browser from a link or QR code and can be added to the home screen.

Can a sponsor support the pass?

Yes. A sponsor’s logo can appear on the whole pass or on individual rewards.
