Profile · TeraConsent
Privacy handled in one place, not a pile of plug-ins.
TeraConsent brings cookie consent, a policy generator, a cookie scanner, privacy requests and data mapping into one tool. It is built into every Tera product, so your maps, tours and stories ask for consent before they collect analytics.
What it does
The kit
- 01
A consent banner in your style
Choose the position, layout, colours and text. Visitors can accept, reject or choose by category, and change their minds later in a preference centre.
- 02
Consent first across Tera
Tera maps, tours, stories, magazines and sites send no analytics and set no analytics id until the visitor accepts.
- 03
Rules for each region
Opt-in or opt-out, with settings for GDPR and the EU cookie rules, CCPA, LGPD, PIPEDA and other regimes, and automatic region detection. Supports Google Consent Mode v2 and the IAB TCF.
- 04
Scripts held until consent
Scripts tagged with a consent category wait until the visitor agrees to that category.
- 05
Proof of every choice
Each accept, reject or change is logged with a time stamp and categories, and can be exported for an audit.
- 06
Policies from a clause library
Build versioned privacy and cookie policies from pre-written clauses, including clauses for tourism data, and restore earlier versions.
- 07
A cookie scanner
Scan a website for cookies and trackers, and match them against a registry of known cookies.
- 08
Privacy requests
A public form for access, deletion and other requests, email verification, a workflow with due dates, and data collection or deletion across Tera tools.
- 09
Vendors and data mapping
Keep a vendor register with risk levels and DPA status, and a record of processing activities you can export.

Questions
TeraConsent, answered.
What is TeraConsent?
TeraConsent is the privacy tool of the Tera ecosystem. It combines cookie consent, a policy generator, a cookie scanner, privacy requests and data mapping in one place.
Does it support EU rules?
Yes. It supports opt-in consent for GDPR and the EU cookie rules, alongside settings for CCPA and other regimes, Google Consent Mode v2 and the IAB TCF. It gives you the tools; your own legal team decides how to use them.
Do Tera products wait for consent?
Yes. Tera maps, tours, stories, magazines and sites do not send analytics until the visitor accepts. Anonymous counts, such as a QR scan, are kept without personal identifiers.
Can we prove what visitors agreed to?
Yes. Every consent choice is logged with a time stamp and the categories accepted or refused, and the log can be exported.
How are privacy requests handled?
Visitors submit a request through a public form and confirm their email. Your team works through it with due dates, and can collect or delete the person’s data across Tera tools.
Is TeraConsent included?
Yes. TeraConsent is included with every Tera subscription.
